ASTM D256 IZOD Impact Test Mold

This IZOD impact test mold comes with the bushings and pins installed. It uses four shoulder bolts on the left and the claws on the right side. Bolts and claws are included. There will be only one set of claws for multiple mold order. 

Please mount it so that the upper side is flashed to the block 4's upper side. Shoulder bolts are intentionally longer to create a small gap between the mold and the nozzle plate. This keeps the mold cooler since it gets in full contact with the nozzle plate only when fully clamped.

When you install the left side with four shoulder bolts and the right side with claws, you can use manual control buttons to clamp the mold to check the alignment. When they start to mate, you can HALT the machine to stop. The pins and bushings are tight fit and needs to be pressed in by the machine not by hand.

Sample part size: 2.54" X 0.50" X 0.125"

Alignment pins and bushings are included.  

NOTE: There is no polishing applied on the molds - as is out of CNC machining.
