The maintenance process for the Spyder CNC machine
We suggest using the steps below when you maintain your CNC machine.
- Clean your machine: Brush first, then vacuum as much debris as possible.
- Inspect: Metal shafts should be clear of dirt and shavings. The collet should be clean with no debris on it. The spindle should be mounted tightly and should not move. It should spin freely when the machine is down.
- Collect: There should not be any loose tools, wrenches, material on the base plate.
- Track: Have a log sheet for cutting tools to keep records of approximate usage in hours. A dull end mill is not good for machining.
